Berlin is one of the world’s greatest marathons and the course runs through the former East and West Berlin. It is completely flat, asphalted and traffic free. In 2014 Dennis Kimetto of Kenya broke the world record (previously set in Berlin in 2013 by Wilson Kipsang) with a new time of 2:02:57. The world record has been broken three times in Berlin in the past four years.
The race starts on the six-lane Strasse des 17 Juni and is run in an average annual temperature of 13 degrees C (55 degrees F). The course takes in some of East and West Berlin’s great sights, before finishing at the magnificent Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag.
The Breakfast Run on Saturday morning, which finishes in the Olympic Stadium, scene of the famous 1936 Olympics, is a thoroughly enjoyable event.
Our trip includes 3 nights in an excellent 4 star central hotel with guaranteed entry and guide services.
Non-running partners or friends are also welcome on the tour.
