Sports Travel International partners with Sports Tours International to bring the Haute Route series of events to Irish cyclists in 2020.
Sports Tours International have been involved with the Haute Route from the very first edition, which was the Haute Route Alps from Geneva to Nice in 2011. Since then the Haute Route has become the benchmark event for amateur cyclists from across the globe.
Haute Route now operates, not only in Europe, but globally; with events in Oman, Brazil, China and Mexico.
Since 2011, Sports Tours International has built an excellent reputation for providing exemplary travel and support packages for our Haute Route riders. The 2020 Haute Route Calendar
In 2020 you have There are no less than 9 different Haute Route destinations to choose from in 2020. With 7 day, 3 day and compact race formats there really is something for everyone. With Sports Travel International and Haute Route – Adventure Awaits!
The 2020 route will feature 6 cols of over 2 000 metres (Tignes, Iseran, Galibier, Izoard, Vars, Bonnette) and 790km of riding in total. There will be a total of 20 cols/climbs and over 19 000m of vertical. The Queen stage of 170km will include the Iseran, Télégraphe, and Galibier.
The 2020 route will start and finish in Pau once again and the 2020 will feature 745km of riding with 20 cols/climbs and over 18000m of vertical. A tough start to the week (first two stages) and a easier end to the week (last two stages). We revisit the Basque Country and there will be a time trial on the Col du Portet which is a big first.
In 2020 Florianópolis will become the home of a brand new Haute Route course. From the coast to the highlands, this course will be unique and spectacular, as you ride through rain forests, in down town Florianópolis, and even up to the highest point on the island; a climb which will offer you a truly spectacular ocean view.
The town of Bédoin, in the shadow of the world famous Mont Ventoux, is the base of this 3 day Cyclo-Sportive. The event will consist of 2 full stages and a 3rd Individual Time Trial stage, all of which will finish at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
Returning for its second edition in 2020, Mexico could be the location of your Haute Route experience in 2020. Escape to Valle de Bravo for some high-altitude Haute Route cycling in the Nevado de Toluca National Park. Quiet Pine forests, stunning roads and incredible views of the Lago Avándaro.
